    UNIVERSITY: CLASSES ON MONDAY

    A meeting of Belgrade University teaching council on Friday
    decided that regular classes should resume on Monday. Student
    delegates at the meeting walked out after the decision, saying
    that students would make their own decision as to when they would
    return to the classrooms.

    The students' demands are unclear at this stage. However student
    leaders appear to be nervous about the possibility that former
    Chancellor Dragutin Velickovic's resignation could be rescinded


    REPUBLIKA SRPSKA CLAIMS BRCKO

    The President of Republika Srpska, Biljana Plavsic, on Friday said
    the city of Brcko was an integral part of RS, but that RS
    understood the message of the international community about Brcko
    being a place where all parties can concentrate on the
    implementation of the Dayton Agreement. The president said
    Republika Srpska was committed to the principles defined in
    Dayton, including freedom of movement, the right of refugees to
    repatriation and democratic elections, but she emphasized that
    Brcko was a city of refugees and that most of them were not
    inclined to leave.
