Milosevic and Pavkovic congratulate Kostunica BELGRADE, Friday -- Former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic this evening congratulated Vojislav Kostunica on his election victory, Beta reports.
Kostunica had earlier received congratulations from Yugoslav Army chief of staff General Nebojsa Pavkovic.
Pavkovic noted that the army was strictly following its constitutional obligations.
A Beta journalists who was present at the meeting said that Milosevic, who have never before met, shook hands and said "Good evening" to each other.
After they met the two spoke in private. Pavkovic was present during part of the meeting.
Kostunica and Pavkovic later went to the Federal Government building where they continued discussions.
