Sustainability Centres conference 16-17 March

As part of the project "Sustainability Centres in the North Sea Region" (SCNSR), the Sustainability Centres in the North Sea Region Conference will be held in Drachten, Netherlands, on 16-17 March 2000. The conference is convened by the Netherlands Institute for Spatial Planning and Housing (NIROV) and hosted by Duurzaam Noord (Sustainable North), Drachten. Sustainable North is a knowledge centre for the sustainable development of the built environment, and works in collaboration with their partners Earth Centre (UK), TuTech (Germany), Danish Centre for Urban Ecology and Ekocentrum (Sweden), being financially supported by the Interreg IIC North Sea Programme and the Netherlands Agency for Energy and the Environment (NOVEM).

The venue of the conference is the Adverium Building, Drachten. Completed last year, the building is a state of the art example of sustainable architecture in the Netherlands. For further details on the programme please visit the web site.
